This Cornelius asphalt driveway was in need of a sealcoat application. The main objectives for driveway sealcoating are: to revive the appearance of the asphalt, and more importantly to protect the asphalt from the environment. The driveway was in great shape, with very few cracks and only minor moss build-up. After cleaning driveway and filling the cracks, we applied a commercial grade sealer with a broom finish which allows more sealcoat to penetrate the porous asphalt.
There was a gravel area adjacent to the shop that our customer used to store and clean her farm equipment. However, due to the gravel/dirt, this area would turn to mud rapidly with any precipitation. The customer wanted this area paved, and wanted the water to shed off toward the field. When we receive a specific water diversion request, that becomes a top priority, and the job is not considered complete until the desired water diversion has been achieved.
In the above photo, you can see the newly paved asphalt section on the top right matches nicely with the driveway sealcoat on the pre-existing surface.
With the proper maintenance, asphalt driveways can last decades. Please request an estimate to allow us increase the longevity of your asphalt driveway!
